Would you like to volunteer for Vatican Splendors at the History Museum?

The History Museum is in need of many volunteers to assist as Gallery Attendants and Traffic Attendants for the *Vatican Splendors* exhibit.

Gallery Attendants will be assigned to rotating posts within the exhibit. They will be there to ensure that visitors do not touch artifacts, to watch over the exhibit and to assist with traffic flow within the exhibition. Gallery Attendants rotate positions every 30 minutes. Gallery Attendants must be at least 18 years of age. Traffic Attendants will assist visitors with timed ticket lines and timed entry into the exhibition. We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 hours per shift. Volunteers may schedule as many shifts throughout the span of the exhibit as they prefer. *Vatican Splendors* volunteers will have the benefit of having a very personal view and knowledge of the collection as well as the privilege of visiting multiple times for free.

 Shifts must be covered:

8:00 to 10:00 am Mon-Sat (when groups are scheduled) 10:00 to 6:00 daily 10:00 to 8:00 Tuesdays Evening Events as Scheduled

The exhibit runs from May 15 - Sept. 12. Volunteer training would begin the week before the opening.

Please visit the website at www.vaticansplendors.com to learn more about this spectacular exhibit.

For more volunteer information, please contact Marcia Wilderman, Vatican Splendors Volunteer Coordinator at 314-454-3109 or marciaw@mohistory.org

Volunteers Needed for "Damn Yankees" House Crew

Volunteers Needed for "Damn Yankees" House Crew
The Catholic Youth Apostolate and the Fr. William Scheid Players are in need of two small groups of volunteers to be our house crew for the 2009 production of "Damn Yankees" at the Florissant Civic Center. We could use any parish youth group, scout troop, family, etc. to help with ticket tearing, showing a few guests to their seats, and handing out program books.

The dates needed for the show house crew are Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22. The show begins at 8:00 pm and the groups would need to work from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. After taking tickets and seating the patrons, the group may wish to watch and enjoy the show in the empty seats toward the back of the theatre.

We would gratefully acknowledge your group with a mention in the the theatre program ad book and a thank you sign recognizing your group at the theatre that night.

If your group would like to volunteer, please call Sarah Wasson at (314) 792-7611 as soon possible.
